Subject: [Leica] is this the S2?

you may be correct
however,
I find it fascinating
that every new product release
from Leica
receives the same tired refrain
and generally
before any real experience
with the tool

IMHO
the so-called medium format
digital market
can and will absorb this hybrid
(if real)
because that market has always
been dealing with hybrids
beginning with hanging
very small sensors on the backs
of cameras with lenses covering 60mm x 60mm and greater

phaseOne (a back manufacturer) has come out with a camera

this market has been trying to find
the right form/function combination for decades
the huge megapixel form factor is highly specialized
and unnecessary for most studio pros
this baby, with the quality we've seen from M8 and DMR,
could very well find a new set of Leica fanatics

and I'll repeat
never underestimate the power
of reputation and legend

Fond regards,
George
