Meanwhilst, in one unidentified country a highly placed Leica person retires
this week, amicably, I'm sure.
That makes certain just emerging rumours even more intriguing or credible.
>From Solms prior to a change of management, 10 new lenses to be released in
2008.
The new Nocti is the real deal.
Seems like the 2 new 24s are too.
Check the Leica website Monday-ish, depending where you live.
I hope that there's an 18 in there somewhere.

Cheers
Geoff

Our Leica Rep came in today and although he couldn't be very specific he did
say that there should be some major surprises at Photokina. He did confirm
the M8.2 and said that it had the new shutter
which is as quiet as the M6, also a new view finder with slightly more
magnification to make the bright frames more accurate. Other than that and
the fact that there will be some new P&S cameras
coming from panaleica he would say nothing more, fact is on pain of legal
action he could say nothing more. So we'll have to wait to see what the
"big surprise" is.
