I've never used the Tmax dev. myself, but have it at work for the kids in my photo classes- they use it as cheap one-shot at 1:9 for Tri-X. (It's impossible to figure out replenishment with D76 when you've got 30+ people using the mix). --- On Tue, 8/19/08, Daniel Ridings <dlridings@gmail.com> wrote: From: Daniel Ridings <dlridings@gmail.com> Subject: Re: [Leica] mixed batch processing of Tmax 400/800 To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> Date: Tuesday, August 19, 2008, 7:43 AM Slightly off the subject ... but I already answered "on topic". I've moved away from D76 with TMax. I wasn't really satisfied with the results. I've been using Tmax developer diluted standard (1:4) at 75 degrees F (6 minutes). The PAW I posted yesterday was with that combination. Can't put my finger on what I like better, but the highlights are not getting blocked up and there is good shadow detail. That is what I'm looking for. It seems to be a tad grainier. I don't know. I'm not allergic to grain so I haven't taken much consideration to that variable. Daniel On Tue, Aug 19, 2008 at 2:32 PM, H. Has anybody tried this yet? I'll be doing it in D76 1:1. > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information > _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
