JOOC, who did the modifications on the D1X? I've only got a couple of rolls of HIE left :-( DaveR -----Original Message----- From: Leonard Taupier [mailto:len-1@comcast.net] Sent: Tuesday, August 12, 2008 11:19 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: [Leica] Img: Bridge over the Delaware Caution: This is an infra Red photo. <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/LeonardT/Infra_Red/ DelawareBridge.jpg.html> http://tinyurl.com/5dbmyz This photo was taken with a Nikon D1X modified for IR. The standard camera has had the IR cut filter and AA filter removed and replaced with a 89B IR filter. The body was then calibrated for IR focusing. I find this combination gives me the depth and IR quality I got with Kodak HIE film. It also gives me the exposure speed of a non modified camera in normal light. There is no filtering over the lens so focusing and framing are normal. Nikon D1X modified AFS 18~200mm zoom at 29mm. ISO 160, 1/750 sec, f8. c and c welcome. Len
