Len,

Fantastic image. One of the best digital IR images I've seen. JOOC, who
did the modifications on the D1X?

I've only got a couple of rolls of HIE left :-(

This photo was taken with a Nikon D1X modified for IR. The standard
camera has had the IR cut filter and AA filter removed and replaced
with a 89B IR filter. The body was then calibrated for IR focusing. I
find this combination gives me the depth and IR quality I got with
Kodak HIE film. It also gives me the exposure speed of a non modified
camera in normal light. There is no filtering over the lens so
focusing and framing are normal.

Nikon D1X modified
AFS 18~200mm zoom at 29mm.
ISO 160, 1/750 sec, f8.

c and c welcome.

Len
