[Leica] Results of July 2008 LUG photo contest

Many good judges can be controversial figures, and when people know who the 
judges are, they pick fights with me about it. For example, BD would have 
made an excellent judge, but if people knew that he was a judge, they might 
not enter because of that, or might try to engage me in arguments about 
whether or not he ought to be a judge.

Last year for about 10 months one of the judges was the photo editor of a 
major international publication, who agreed to be a judge because it amused 
him. One of his conditions was that he be totally anonymous. Right now one 
of the judges is a well-known figure in the photography world who has never 
been subscribed to the LUG and who would resign instantly if his name got 
out.
