You folks are just masking the ground glass for the sensor size then? With a static set up (tripod and inanimate subject) I guess you can get near instant feedback via the LCD to shoot again if you need to adjust composition/exposure. Cool! I must leap in and try it out. For Leo, I recall there was an article in LFI on this a little while back. I'll catch you off-list on that. One possible alternative for anyone willing to invest more: There's the neat little macro Elmar 90 collapsible which goes down to .7m (27 inches or so in old speak) on its own or .5m with the macro adaptor. The lens seems to be relatively inexpensive used, although you don't see the macro adaptor as often. With no additional attachments you'll have a very useable macro range for general macro work. When you find yourself wanting more control of various magnifications (and/or working distances), you'll begin to get a feel for what "you" want in terms of versatility. Or you may find that it's not for you - as apparently many here have. Bottom line: a Visoflex III and any M mount lens will immediately produce very satisfying macro results.
