Subject: [Leica] How to get an M8 for $3200...

Well the difference in this case has
nothing to do with the lens because the lens is identical.
nothing to do with the computer processing SW because that is also  
identical.
nothing to do with movement - same tripod, mirror up.

The question of whether the difference lies within the sensor, SW and/ 
or combination of both is mute for me.
Because these are digital imaging "systems" which include a sensor,  
firmware and software functioning outside of my control. I can't  
build my own system. I have to choose from what's on the shelf.

We place a lens on the "system" and see what we get.
We choose the "system" which
delivers the results we prefer
according to a host of personal preferences.

For me the "look" of the image file and the quality of the optics
together with the ergonomics of both camera and lens
makes the determination.
