I had my dealer start a list for the D700 last week based on the very strong rumors. I'm #1 on the list. Now I have to wait a month for it to come in. I think a SB900 is in the future too. As for Nikon prime lenses, just yesterday I used my Nikkor 50mm f1.2, 35mm f1.4 and 85mm f1.4. The photos look pro quality to me. Oh darn. They're not auto focus. I guess that means they're not pro quality. Sorry, Leica. You're not pro quality either. BTW I'm still using 4 Nikkors I bought in 1977 and had Nikon upgrade to AI in 1982.
