Steve,

Assuming you are not joking...

They are talking about BW photography with the M8.  Since the spectral
sensitivity of the M8 is different enough from that of film so as to
require IR-cutoff filters in some situations, it is reasonable to wonder
how those filters affect BW rendition.

(Or were you thrown off by the misleading "IR filter" designation for
"whatever you call those things"? :-)
