No Luis, I never had the 180/4 Elmar. I did have a Visoflex that I used with a 200/4 Telyt on the M4. Replaced that (the Viso & Telyt - NOT the M4 that I still have) with a Nikon F and 200/4 Auto-Nikkor. For a while, I used the Russian 500/8 mirror on the Nikon. A fun lens but gave it up because of the occasional floating lights in the images. seth ----- Original Message ----- From: "Luis Ripoll" <luisripoll@telefonica.net> To: "'Leica Users Group'" <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 6:33 PM Subject: RE: [Leica] Favorite Non-Leica-Leica Lens? > Seth, > > Did you coupled the 180/4 Elmar on a Visoflex? > > Saludos cordiales > Luis > > > -----Mensaje original----- > De: lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org > [mailto:lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org] En nombre > de > Seth Rosner > Enviado el: mi?rcoles, 11 de junio de 2008 18:46 > Para: Leica Users Group > Asunto: Re: [Leica] Favorite Non-Leica-Leica Lens? > > Mark, Sal was quite right about the reach of a 180; but why not just put > one > on an SL or R6 if size is a question? well, thinking about it, a 180/4 > Elmar > on Visoflex and an M3 wouldn't be that bulky; unhandy but not that bulky. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Mark Rabiner" <mark@rabinergroup.com> > To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> > Sent: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 12:35 PM > Subject: Re: [Leica] Favorite Non-Leica-Leica Lens? > > >> Our late beloved Photographer Sal DiMarco was a great advocate for this: >> A 180 for the m for more grabbing power. >> He pushed hard for this.
