I had an orange filter but removed the glass and replaced it with the glass from a 39mm UV/IR filter. So now I can use the Summitar on my M8 without turning black to purple. I also have a deep red filter which is too strong but it works perfectly to allow me to shoot infra red on the M8. I find my film cameras don't get used as often either. I try to shoot film every week as I enjoy trying different film and developing it myself. I also try and exercise the shutters in all my film bodies every month without film to keep them in shape.
