I first became aware of it when I sent a birthday present to my daughter in
Ireland. I mailed her a small book and a card ten days before her birthday,
and only estimated the weight. I think it arrived on her birthday back
in *my* mailbox all stickered over. It was 13.2 oz. I took it to the post
office and the clerk shook her head, and placed a postage label over the
canceled stamps, pulled off the warning stickers and thanked me for my
patience.
