Forgive me, I haven't paid as much attention to the M8 posts until  
now---what are the advantages to having the lens coded? Is it  
primarily to show what lens you used or does it enhance image quality  
at all? More importantly, is image quality effected in any way if you  
DON'T have the lens coded?
