Love Great Horned Owls! Except when they are looking at my puppy dog as
dinner!
Last night I was walking Paddy in the back yard when I became aware of a
silent shape passing overhead, then circling: on of those guys with a
serious interest in a three pound doggie!

A few years ago my wife and I were on Grizzly Island at dusk and we saw a
tree FILLED with great horned owls - there must have been a dozen of them.
Of course they were silhouetted against the bright sky but I should have
taken a shot just to have all those shapes. It was amazing. When we passed
by later they had all gone a'hunting.
