Steve,

- on the M8, a 21mm has a FOV about the same of a 28mm FOV on a 35mm
or FF camera

- on the M8, the CV 15m has a FOV of a 21mm on a 35mm FF or camera

- coincidentally, the border-to-border FOV of the M8 VF is roughly
equivalent to the FOV of a 28mm on a 35mm or FF , or a 21mm on said M8

The CV15 FOV is larger than the M8 VF FOV, then you need an external
21mm VF to cover its FOV

CV= Cosina-Voigtl?nder
FF= Full Frame
FOV= Field of view
VF= Viewfinder

oh boy we doctors do love acronyms, don't we?

a question here , as my logic becomes befuddled...

A 21mm lens on the M8 just about fills the M8 viewfinder...

a CV heliar 15mm lens on the M8 is really a 21mm lens, and can be
used with a 21mm external viewfinder...

so... can one also use the M8 viewfinder, as the viewfinder for a CV
15mm lens...?

Why is this so difficult?

(a yes or no answer is inadequate, without some logical
explanation... please)

thanks, Steve
