The obvious backup to an M8 is another M8.  Barring hitting the Power Ball
Lottery..... a nice mundane M6 ( or whatever) is the next BEST backup.  If
your M8 goes south, go out and buy film for the M6.   The M6 is small, it
uses the same lenses, and it is probably more bullet proof than any other
camera you could bring.

And you probably already own one.........Peace in the Family!

While I'm tempted to take Ted's Double Dare and take only the M8, the best I
am willing to do is use the M8 only and have the canon as backup and long
shots as needed.
