you were in city government, I asked you why no riots took place in
Oakland during the Rodney King debacle. Without skipping a beat you
said "access to government". As a human relations commissioner in the
city of Long Beach, I constantly use your answer to reinforce the
need for dialogue, and its subsequent benefits.
