Well I take back all of the above. Wrong again!
This new monster lens from Sigma I figured was a  usable sub monster because
of the smaller 1.5 crop format.
But I was wrong.
Its a full big boy monster because it will cover 24x36.
A big mistake if you ask me for reasons at the top of this page.
This will really look like a real bazooka.
Someone using it is in danger of getting "painted" and taken out by a
satellite.
If it had been for the smaller format digital cameras it would be really so
much more usable. Hand hold able. As is it needs a built in monopod with
springs like s pogo stick. Or anti gravity gyro VR.
The Sigma People have DC be their cropped format lenses for digital
But the DG they way is for digital too.
But they don't overly clarify it would cover 24x36.
And also be good for film.
They'd loose money if they said it would also be good for film no doubt.
