Subject: [Leica] Epson wet scan

I was talking with a friend who said to get better scans of black and 
white film they should be done wet.

What are the pros and cons of this?

He said some wetscanners have special negative carriers to do this.

He also said there is an Epson scanner that does this. Anyone know of 
it?
