It does all sorts of strange things - creates subfolders with copies all 
over the place, if you're not careful - there's an interesting piece of 
freeware called antitwin that is a great help in finding where 
duplicates are and getting rid of them. IIt even finds copies with 
extended filenames. f you use it, just be careful to let it go nowhere 
near any program files or directories, it can creat havoc (voice of 
experience!)
