Suspect they're driven by the same desires as those individual's  
whose images appear in our news and celebrity rags every day - also  
heavily retouched - as well as the folks who spend fortunes to get  
their actual bodies re-touched-tucked-pulled-stretched-sucked, etc.

A desire to appear flawless and ageless.
