I guess you must enjoy bashing the M8  ( I don't know the Aussie word 
for that)

I took a bunch of office snaps (think security badges).  No magenta.  
And I was using the M8 with the old 58mm filter size Nocti with the B+W 
cut off filter.  No magenta.  What exactly is your problem???
