George.. I had a special set of lines bifocals made up....  The dividing
line is only 1/3 the top to bottom distance ( 2/3 close up, 1.3 distance)
for exactly that reason.....   It makes it easy to use a 4x5 with GG
focusing this way......   I use them only for the view cameras.  Walking
around with them on is a challenge.....

With view cameras it's a loupe and the glasses on and off. I remember  
clearly the day and the assignment when I discovered the aging eyes  
syndrome. I was backed into a corner for a tight interior shot with  
the 4x5 Technika. I couldn't back my head up to focus
