As the result of linear distortion between light frequencies/ wavelengths? Just a pragmatic guess. Could also be barrel distortion ofcourse, which is typical for a wide angle. As a result -even with a leveled camera etc.- straight lines are not straight. Which could be liberally translated into 'linear distortion'.
