Len,

I've been working with the 28 summicron  on the M8 /IR and it  
displays pretty severe hot spot issues at most apertures beyond wide  
open.
Unfortunately I sold my 28 elmarit about 2 months ago because I  
really fell in love with the summicron. ;~(
