Thanks for showing those, Gene. They are notable for the complete absence of
any vignette effect and for their huge DoF, exactly as
I expected on the M8. That's one very fine lens to leave on as your
standard, if you previously used the 35 for that on a film M.
I'd shot a few frames with my (uncoded)28 on an M8 but no stuff including
much sky areas. I imagine that your titanium 35 would be
much sought after for folks with the matching M body, either the plated or
solid titanium ones. The one I'd seen (titanium finish
lens) kept having its red dot fall off! I was offered a black paint 50 asph
(classic styling, modern optics) when I got my 50 asph.
Very pretty. I got a brand new standard one though, because it had the 6 bit
coding. It won't hurt its future value, not that I
would part with it. In fact locally they now sell new for a third more than
I paid maybe a year back! Whoever gets a 24 asph first
has to post pictures.

Cheers

Hoppy,
The first 4 photos here are from my coded 28 Elmarit Asph. The street
scene, the 2 John Deere Tractors, and the one of my wife and
grand daughters. The lens is really nice on the M8.

Thanks for the suggestions. The 24 is number one on my wish list also, the
dealer had one when I got the 28, but I figured the wife
would kill me if I got it ;-). I suspect one of the older 21's would be a
nice candidate for the coding if I can find one at a
decent price. My 35 Summilux is a Titanium one, I guess it would bring a
good price used, although it seems to work very nicely on
the M8.
