As you can see the life is also on the street, generally in La Barceloneta
the apartments are very small, the reason is about 150 years ago when the
industrial development has started, here was one of the first Spanish places
to be installed certain big industries to build trains etc..., the first
Spanish railway was from Barcelona to Matar? (a small town, not small now,
at 35 Km from Barcelona), and this train was constructed on a factory close
to La Barceloneta, for this reason the ancient fisherman houses was divided
in small apartments to life the comming workers of other Spanish regions,
and for this reason the street is a important part of the everyday life.
