Subject: [Leica] [IMG] PAW 27 - Invasion Beach

Sixty-three years ago, this beach was used for D-Day rehearsals under the
watchful eyes of The King (George VI), Churchill and Eisenhower. Nowadays
Studland beach is the subject of a very different kind of invasion on a warm
summer Saturday in August. I estimated over three hundred boats in that part
of
the bay on this occasion. For most crews the "invasion" only lasted until the
pub behind the beach had called "Last Orders!".
