Subject: [Leica] Zeiss sweetspot
From: dnygr at cshore.com (dnygr)

A friend was showing me an old Zeiss Ikonnata he has and pointed out how the
lens F stop scale is marked for its "sweetspot."

He said he had heard that Zeiss used to pre-test their lenses and mark the
spot where the lens performed best.

Has anyone else heard of this?

BTW, it looked like a great camera. It looked like the 120 camera to have
insomuch that it is like a Leica, that is, small compact, unlike most medium
format cameras.
