I like the conservative speed and the fact that they weigh one third what
the 2.8 ASPH Elmarit weighs. And's probably half the size.


So many lens designs are a stretch because of marketing demands from the
marketing department. (where else?)
An F4 lens becomes an F 2.8 lens and should have stayed an F4 lens.
Its now bigger and flarier and cost more and not that great at f2.8.

I'd love the 4.5



I doubt this was the case though with the Elmarit ASPH.
