Interestingly. Nikon has come out with two versions of the same camera. A full frame version and an APS-C version. Interestingly I just found this out...: The Nikon DX format is an image sensor format of approximately 24?16 mm. Its area is slightly larger than that of the 22x15mm APS-C format, and about 2/3 the size of the 135 film format (measured diagonally). The format was created by Nikon for its digital SLR cameras, many of which are equipped with DX-sized sensors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikon_DX_format The difference between 24?16 and 22x15 is not that minute.
