Subject: [Leica] TA soft release issue

Until recently I had an M2 and an M6. Tom's buttons worked smoothly with 
both. I now have an M7 and 
M8, and the buttons are very "notchy" when pressed, with a click that's even 
louder than the M7's 
shutter.

Anyone else experience this?

Trivial, I know, but I'm curious why.
