Subject: [Leica] Elmarit question

I have a 28mm Elmarit -  M mount.  Pix enclosed.  Its serial number does 
not jive with the Leitz Canada labeling and it does have the 48mm filter 
mount of a canada lens.  Can you clarify this issue for me and perhaps 
indicate what it might be worth?  It takes excellent pictures and though 
I do not own a black body (fashion thing?), I really enjoy using it.
