I had an FD 400mm f/2.8 that had been modified to fit Leica-R (retaining auto-diaphragm and 3-cam meter coupling!) but since the Leica-R mount register is deeper than Canon FD the Canon mount had to be cut off to make the lens fit Leica and focus to infinity.
