I agree 100%. I included the smiley only so as not to sound like a  
curmudgeon. I love the M cameras system for their port-ability as  
well as their optical performance on a rock solid support. The notion  
that they somehow don't belong on a tripod makes little sense when  
photographing landscapes, macro/closeup, studio work, and even  
certain types of portraits. In fact in some cases I'd go so far as to  
say not using a tripod in some circumstances equals lazy technique  
(of which I'm sometimes as guilty as the next person). The difference  
in quality can be quite remarkable.
