A friend damaged the inside of his SLR - R8 - when he mounted it on a
tripod. The threaded bush on the tripod was longer than the ISO standard. As
I remember he eventually got some compensation from the tripod manufacturer
- can't remember who, but it was someone like Manfrotto or Gitzo, so a
reputable manufacturer.
