Since I dropped my M6 I am thinking about getting an M5 as a secondary
body. One question is will my 28mm version 4 and my new 12mm
Voigtlander lens work ok on an M5?

Thanks for any info.

------------------------------

I know Sonny had the 28mm Rokkor & I have the 28mm M-Hexanon. Both work
well with the M5. So well, in fact, that I have trouble using any other
lens. The standard M5 viewfinder field is adequate for the 28mm lens.
You just need to frame a little loose. My first roll was a bit too
tight.

Sonny's old M5 is in good hands. It hasn't seen as much use as it
deserves. I'm fixxin to correct that problem in the next 3 weeks. Be
warned: You may see some more boring photographs from one of Leitz's
best offerings ever.

By all means, look for a late version M5 with the stiffer detents on the
shutter speed dial. Or have Sherry upgrade an earlier model with the
improved detents. I have one of each (early fixed & later model) and the
shutter speed dial is nice and firm.

Good luck! You can't go wrong with a nice M5.
