The question was asked pursuant to the recent US $ 500.00 price drop.

My opinion only (no inside info) is that there isn't a lot of room 
left, and the conjoined egos of Leica and Panasonic will probably not 
let any further price drop happen any time soon.

That said, some retailer might knock off a little extra just to clear 
the shelf space, provided Panny and Leica look the other way.

Thing is, it's really a nice camera, plus it takes Oly 4/3 lenses and 
Leica R with an adaptor.

Wait and see; maybe some clearance pricing by Labor Day.
