Subject: [Leica] Experiences with 35/3.5 Elmar and 35/3.5 Summaron

I have an Elmar 3.5/3.5 that I bought for an RD1. It makes for a very
compact kit.

No issues with performance yet, although I haven't put it through very
stressful imaging tasks.

The "literature" - Puts, etc, isn't too complimentary for the 3.5/3.5 Elmar.

I also have a Summaron f3.5; not as compact as the Elmar.

I read that the Summaron f2.8 is the gem to have, but quite a bit more
expensive.

Daniel
I paid $300 for mine, on an auction with no reserve. The chrome only like
mine is a bit less collectable than the later black/chrome samples. There's
actually one with 1 bid at $200, see #120114256942. I have seen some offered
with buy-it-now for around $500 - which is too much IMO.
