I think this is becoming wildly overblown and the Noct. as it stands now
will turn out to be totally useful as ever if not more so on the M8 than on
film cameras. 

A LOT of shots in the common vernacular will be produced with this lens on
digital cameras. They will be all over the place. Covers of magazines.
Galleries. You name it.
Mark my Rab-words.

Its a 75mm f1.  !!!
And you don't even have to worry about the edges.

Keep in mind its a lens designed for shooting dark alleys.
But is also designed to be usable outstandingly in a brightly let field.
I've done so.

And I've also missed my focus an amazingly few times with it.
It just works.
