To wit: the 18x27 M8 sensor indeed has a 32mm diag, but that calls for a TRUE 32mm lens as 'normal,' NOT a 24mm lens that has a 32mm field of view (on a 24x36 camera, which is the part I forgot.) So then, a 35mm lens would be normal on the M8, which is what the 1.33 factor has implied all along (35 x 1.33 = c.47, halfway between theoretical normal and traditional (50mm) normal.) Ach! (Do you think Oscar B. ever said that while developing the Leica?) Stan Yoder, drying off. BTW, made my first 13x19 print, using my daughter's new R1800. From a scanned M6 slide. On Velvet Fine Art paper. Wow!
