Nothing sounds worse than the grinding of the back of a lens with the interior of a $5,000 camera. This is not to knock the M8, but rather to inform M8 owners which lenses to avoid using(and avoid purchasing too). When I bought the M8, my 35/1.2 Nokton was going to be my lens of choice because of its speed as well as its focal length. Now I know that it will have to be modified first. Leica lists some lenses that are problematic (all are Leica lenses). Is there a more comprehensive list anywhere?
