Many parts of Lightroom are not obvious and Adobe is to be criticized
for not bothering with something like, say, real user documentation.
Instead you either have to pay for a book or some other tutorial or
find someone who'll sit beside you.

The interface design is NOT obvious and it's a complete abdication by
Adobe of their need to write a manual. The on-line help is truly
wretched.

Adobe, and virtually all other software companies, have been doing
this kind of crap for years and it's only getting worse. I can't point
to a single company that does it right any longer. For the cost of CS3
you ought to get decent documentation.
