I have the best access to my digital pictures and the film images I
have scanned. My filing system for 40+ years of negatives and slides
is poor to non existent. My son had a daughter 5 months ago and I
would like to scan a few pictures of him at a similar age. I can not
believe how time consuming it has been to find some!
My digital files are on hard drives backed up to other hard drives
which I use seldom, so will hopefully be reliable. So far I have
managed to keep everything on up to date storage with no problem
whatsoever. I imagine that in my case the digital files will always
be easier to find than the chemical ones - that is certainly the case
so far.
cheers
Frank
