Subject: [Leica] Question about my poor broken lens.

Yeah...I dropped my new 28 elmarit not long after I bought it back in 
1999 or so.  It had a stiff place in it after the drop.  I sent it to 
DAG and now it is by far the smoothest focusing lens I own.
