I am down to the "gap" financing - which might be to sell a Kodak 14n. Or maybe I'll just suck up the rest (a few hundred dollars at this point) in cash. But I still am in the "is Paris well worth a Mass?" stage. Some questions: 1. Has anyone shot both the Leica and the 14n? Does the Leica have comparable tonality and exposure latitude? Does the M8 have any automatic highlight recovery capability (like Kodak's digital exposure correction)? 2. Is the 35mm f/1.4 Summilux-M asph focus shift a real problem or internet bunk? This was the lens I was really looking forward to using on the M8, but there seems to be some indication that it focuses correctly only from f/1.4 to f/4. 3. Do 50/1.4 Nikkor (LTM) lenses exhibit focus shifts? 4. Has anyone had to have lenses recollimated to focus properly (at infinity) on an M8? Thanks Dante
