Subject: [Leica] R4...can you turn this thing off?

John,

The R4 and newer cameras are electronic, if you pull the battery it is a 
paper weight.  Why would you want to defeat its meter and electronics?  If 
you want a mechanical SLR, you need to go back about 20 years of camera 
evolution.
