Most people probably don't upload files at print type resolution/sizes. You could find your pics stolen and appearing somewhere that you don't approve of! Actually your images as displayed are fairly small. If you upload something, for example say 1000 pixels wide, the gallery program will accept the file but make a reduced size version which is what you see when you first enter a gallery. Then above the image will be a shortcut to the larger version (next to the properties icon). So when someone browses the gallery, they can get a closer look at pictures that interest them particularly. You may like to browse a couple of other galleries to see what other folks use. Just as an example, here's a pic in my gallery. You can see a pic in my gallery here. http://tinyurl.com/38k4bm. Above the pic you can see the symbol for the full size that was uploaded. I upload a downsized jpeg from the tiff (scan in my case) which is about 1000 pixels by 700 pixels at 90 ppi. Just one suggestion, Of course. Hugh may have experienced slower loading of the gallery because of demand on the computer and network where Brian hosts the images. Brian has mentioned recently that he will upgrade the computer at some point. By the way, I looks like you are enjoying getting to know your marvellous new Leica. The last shot of the buildings must look nice indeed as a print. Now let's see them a little bigger in the gallery. Thanks for looking Hugh and for the suggestion. I will certainly resize. It never occurred to me that folks might want to download; for some reason I thought the gallery view would be enough. Live and learn. Regards, Dom On 19-Mar-07, at 8:42 PM, Hugh Thompson wrote: Hello Dom - like your TO shots. Different angles for Old City Hall etc. Isn't it fun to walk around with the M8, and that 28 is a fantastic lens. BTW, don't know what imageware you are using but the images on the LUG are huge, and it take for ever to download them. Suggest you resize them for the web prior to posting.
