I only had access to a jpg (didn't have the tiff on my laptop). In the jpg I saw so many digital artefacts (and un-retouched dirt) that I didn't want to mess up the sky more than it was already. It was nice to put a "blocker" right before those tones. There is a zone-mapper to help you identify where the various zones of grey in your photo is. Naturally it works with most RAW formats right out of the box. I'm working on some color processing too ... but that isn't my strongest side.
