I've regretted (and thrown away) every cheap tripod I've ever tried. The
worst was a spindly Velbon with twist-lock legs. A weight lifter could have
twisted those locks with all of his might, and one of the legs would still
invariably telescope under the lightest of weight.

I'm in the market for a new tripod & so far it looks like Manfrotto 190mf3.
My reasons are:
        I use medium-format as well as 35mm
        I like shooting stuff I find on the ground
        Weight

Is there anything comparable I should be looking at (especially for less
$$)?
